Join us this year!
Wednesday evening rehearsals, from 7:00-9:00 in Pitman
We have a very informal rehearsal structure - come as often as you are able. Tracks are available to help you learn our music.
We are a friendly, left-leaning choir of women from ages 22-70. Our rehearsals are fun and low-stress. Come do something for *you*!
ABOUT THE SPARROW WOMEN'S CHORALE
Now inviting new and returning singers for Fall 2024
The Sparrow Women's Chorale, proudly sponsored by AfterSchool Music in Pitman, is a community choir for adult women. We began rehearsals with 35 members in February of 2020.... if we only knew!
After an 18-month "hiatus" we have reformed and are thrilled to be singing together again.
We have a robust team of women working to make the choir singer-friendly and flexible for busy women. Whether you're a parent, working, both or neither - SWC is a fun, supportive community environment where you can let loose and have a low-stress outlet - just for you!

ABOUT OUR MUSIC
We choose mostly secular music of very high quality.
We do not prescribe to a particular belief system or perform in a worship setting or manner.
We tend to lean left politically and our philosophy reflects more progressive beliefs.
That said, we are a choir, and our name reflects the phrase, 'His Eye is on the Sparrow'.
We sincerely respect all religious and philosophical beliefs and believe that our diversity is our strength.
We Rehearse
On Wednesday evenings, 7:00-9:00, at the First Presbyterian Church in Pitman.
Every 3 years we add a holiday concert.
Dues and Fundraising
Our singers pay a yearly membership of $500, which can be divided up into semesterly, quarterly, or monthly payments. These dues help pay for our staff, accompanist, rehearsal space, insurance and advertising.
There are no concert ticket sale quotas. We use program book ads and one or two small-scale fundraisers per year to support our organization.
